While we do our very best to minimise any packaging, we do still need something to protect your new projects! We do not use plastic in any of our product or shipping packaging, instead relying on smart design of the products and paper or cardboard based solutions instead. All our paper and cardboard is 100% recycled, and we only purchase from Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified suppliers.
We use a lightweight paper sleeve on our mini projects to hold everything in place, and even our premium Irish Tweed weaving kit is fully recycled and plastic free.
Our pre-wound Wool Pack shuttles are made using fully recycled board. The grey colour of them might not be the prettiest, but we think they are pretty great! Creamy white recycled paper is usually bleached to make it white again, but we chose to use the natural colour of genuine recycled paper from mixed sources, cutting down on any chemicals required in its production. Once you have finished your project, our shuttles can be re-used for future weavings, placed in the recycling bin, or even added to your compost bin!
